At least 11 people, mostly minors, were treated on Sunday in Buenos Aires due to high temperatures and a series of incidents at the Gran Rivadavia Theater in the Flores neighborhood. The incidents were caused by the possible overselling of tickets for a private event.

According to an investigation by the Argentine News Agency, a large number of people were unable to enter the venue at Avenida Rivadavia 8600 due to a possible overselling of tickets, which caused anger and shouting.

Police and personnel from the SAME (municipal emergency service) arrived at 14:30 following calls to 911 that alerted them to the venue being overcrowded and that several people, including minors, were feeling unwell.

A private event was being held at the establishment, featuring minors from various dance schools. Due to overcrowding and high temperatures, several people began to suffer from heat strokes, which is why the event was suspended.

Four ambulances from the SAME and one private ambulance were dispatched. In total, 11 people were treated at the scene, with none requiring transfer to health centers.

Following the incident, the Government of the City will proceed to close the establishment through the City Government Control Agency, which arrived at the theater.
